For the 1963 model year, the Grand Prix received revised sheet metal shared with other full-size Pontiacs, but with its own squared-off roofline with a concave rear window that contrasted with the convertible-like roof styling of the previous year.
Other elements included a unique grille design, hidden headlights, and a lower, wider stance. Under the hood, the 1963 Grand Prix engine was a V8 389 cubic inch (6.4-liter) V8, which produced 303 horsepower 0-60 times of 6.6 seconds with 15.1-second quarter mile runs.
